Seattle Center and Seattle Monorail Services are gearing up for a significant renovation of the historic Seattle Center Monorail Station—an upgrade designed to enhance accessibility, improve safety, and create a smoother experience for the millions of visitors who rely on the Monorail each year.
Construction begins in September 2026 and will continue through late 2027, with Monorail service operating throughout the project.
As one of Seattle’s most iconic pieces of transportation history, the Monorail has connected downtown and Seattle Center since the 1962 World’s Fair.
