Detectives Investigate Shooting in West Seattle
Detectives are investigating a shooting that left an adult male seriously injured in Delridge neighborhood.
Shortly after 12:30 p.m., dispatch received reports of a shooting at 9000 block of 16th Avenue Southwest.
Police arrived and found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest and other injuries to his hand and leg. Officers provided aid until Seattle Fire Department arrived. Medics transported the man to Harborview Medical Center in serious but stable condition.
The investigation revealed that there was an altercation between the victim and suspect shortly before the shooting. The suspect left the scene on foot eastbound on Southwest Henderson Street.
The suspect is currently not in custody.
Gun Violence Reduction Unit detectives responded to the scene and are working to determine what led up to the shooting.
