Motorcyclist Killed in Fairmount Park Collision

Detectives are investigating a collision that killed a 21-year-old man in West Seattle on Wednesday night.
Around 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday night, multiple callers reported to 911 that there was a collision at the intersection of 35th Avenue Southwest and Southwest Brandon Street involving a pick-up truck and a motorcycle. Bystanders rendered aid to the motorcyclist, who was severely injured, until police and Seattle Fire Department medics arrived.
The motorcyclist, a 21-year-old man, was transported to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries and died in the early morning hours on Thursday.
The driver of the pick-up truck stayed on scene and was evaluated by a Drug Recognition Expert.
Detectives with the Traffic Collision Investigation Squad will be responsible for the follow-up investigation.
