Man Shot in Roxhill Park

Seattle police are investigating a shooting that left a man seriously injured in the Roxbury neighborhood.

On Wednesday afternoon around 1:30 p.m., 911 received a call that a man had a gunshot wound inside Roxhill Park.

Officers went to the park and found a 40-year-old man with suspected gunshot wounds. Several King County Public Health employees happened to be nearby and provided aid until police and Seattle Fire Department medics arrived.

The 40-year-old man was transported to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition.

Detectives with the Gun Violence Reduction Unit will be responsible for the follow-up investigation.
